The Williams Brothers Make History

Inaki Williams and his younger brother Nico Williams made history on Saturday when they became the first brothers in 17 years to score in the same Spanish LaLiga match. Inaki, who plays for Athletic Bilbao, opened the scoring in the 26th minute, while Nico, who plays for Valencia, added the second goal in the 72nd minute. The goals helped Athletic Bilbao to a 3-2 victory over Valencia.

A Footballing Dynasty

The Williams brothers are the sons of Ghanaian immigrants and were born in Spain. They both came through the Athletic Bilbao academy and have represented Spain at youth level. Inaki made his debut for the Spain national team in 2016, while Nico made his debut in 2022.

The Williams brothers are two of their country's most exciting attackers and are expected to play a key role for Spain at the 2022 World Cup. Inaki will represent his parents' nation while Nico is set to play for Spain.
